The Ecosystem of Ecosystems

There’s something wild that happens when you finally have the time and capacity to transform your environment — everything in it starts rising to meet you.

And this wasn’t a sudden upgrade. This was a long time coming — I’ve been feeding him all along. First with store veggies. Then with the poor little struggling herbs I kept alive out of hope and grit. Then with the absolute abundance of dandelions this region throws at us. And now? Now he’s getting luxurious, healthy, homegrown dragon salad and the coolest little playground a beardie could ask for.

And I’m remembering exactly when the environment starts matching the synergy in the air.

My team. My delightfully prehistoric dragon and his garden of feasts. My beautiful, beautiful family who should always get the best of me first.

These are the ecosystems I’m talking about.

My neighborhood, my community, and yes — my underground network of competent people. With a little breathing room, I can see them everywhere. And when I see it, I do it.
